Challis Helicopters Inc. is a high-speed helicopter development company. After many years of R/C development through various complex systems, a simplified version began to emerge into the Challis Heli-Plane.  This design presents the opportunity to fly a full size rotorcraft past the limitation of retreating blade stall. The Challis Heli-Plane aircraft can easily be modified from an existing helicopter into a completely different style of aircraft that has a unique, beneficial, aerodynamic flight condition. The main function and purpose of the website Challis-heli-plane.com is to provide the service of heli-plane flight training and present the physical characteristics relating to this patent pending design.
Information presented on Challis-heli-plane.com will be updated and shared among the membership on a continuous basis. All future information relating to flying, building, or eventually purchasing a Challis Heli-Plane will be presented to the members of the website. The goal is to share detailed information of the Challis Heli-Plane aircraft to all of the members, which may include R/C modelers, homebuilders, rotorcraft industry, airplane industry, and aviation enthusiasts.
Currently the information available on this site only relates to that of modifying an R/C helicopter to a Challis Heli-Plane. Future development will always be made available on the site, regardless if it is wind tunnel testing or results from testing full size experimental aircraft.
Challis-heli-plane.com members are encouraged to upload video or photos of their own heli-plane to the site. There will also be a bulletin section where members can share and discuss their views relating to building or flying this new type of aircraft.
